Understanding Your Child's Educational Opportunities - 504 Educational Plans
Sunday, September 23, 2018
1:30pm - 4:00pm
JA Days are a great experience for children with juvenile arthritis (JA), their parents, caregivers and siblings. The greatest benefit of these programs is getting to meet and network with other families who are affected by JA and share some of the same feelings, experiences and concerns. It's a place to exchange ideas, give and receive encouragement, make new friends and know you're not alone.
Join us to understand your child’s options and how the Individualized Education Plan (IEP) and 504 processes work as well as how to build collaboration with your child’s school staff. The formal process for setting up a 504 plan requires eight important steps. Prepare to kick-off the new school year to ensure a more positive educational experience.
