Camp Wawbeek Mini Camp is a great experience for children with juvenile arthritis (JA) ages four through seven and their parents. It's an opportunity for you and your child to explore camp so you know what to expect when you send you them on their own. The greatest benefit of these programs is getting to meet and network other families who are affected by JA and share some of the same feelings, experiences and concerns. It's a place to exchange ideas, give and receive encouragement, make new friends and know you're not alone.
Camp Wawbeek, the host site, is a residential campsite designed specifically for children with physical disabilities. The facility offers a warm water pool (heated to the ideal temperature for arthritis – 84 degrees Fahrenheit), space for outdoor activities and more!
